I am so excited to write this post because I get to write about a woman that I admire, look up to, and who I absolutely love! LolaB is an incredible woman who has been through so much in the last couple of years and continues to be a force for good. She started a blog recently to talk about her story; her struggles and triumphs. She strengthens those who know her personally as well as through her writing, and her writing is so beautiful! I absolutely love reading her blog, her posts are raw, real and relatable. She will make you laugh and cry, and in the end you will feel empowered to take on your own demons. You can find her story here, but I will give you a bit of a recap as well.
In her first blog post, Casseroles and Compassion, she relives the night she found out her husband of 20+ years had been arrested for drug trafficking and her life was turned completely upside down. LolaB has an incredible ability to see the kindness in humanity even after being dealt a horrible hand. She continues to love, forgive and her message is a message of hope through very real struggles. Her strength absolutely amazes me and she continues on with grace and compassion for others. She has the most selfless and giving heart. You can feel the love she has for you just by talking to her, she will give you her undivided attention and is such a wonderful friend. Anyone who knows LolaB personally knows how incredible she is and I want you to get to know her too 🙂
In LolaB’s latest post, where she suggested that they should come up with a Tinder app for old people called Geezer, she had me rolling on the floor laughing! In that same post, she also had a beautiful message to share, that those who love us see the best in us, even when we can’t see it ourselves.
