If you don’t know who the Dutton’s are, you need to stop everything you are doing and look them up right now! I met the Dutton family years ago through my dad, he had just finished filming their Christmas Special for PBS and they were on their way back to Branson, MO where they have an incredible show. They do it all, LITERALLY! They sing, dance, play all the instruments and the best part… the whole family is involved, even the kids! It’s an incredible show! If you ever make it out to Branson, you cannot leave without seeing them. Trust me, you will thank me (also, bring me back some of their homemade fudge because it is DEVINE!).
I moved out to Branson and lived there for about a year to work with the Dutton’s. I managed The Dutton Inn in the evening and ran lights for their day and evening shows. The Dutton’s became my family and I absolutely love everything about them!! Living in Branson was one of the highlights of my life and I miss it so much! I am planning a trip in the future so I can show my hubby and kids what I have been talking about all these years.
Joshua and Evette have since moved to Utah (which I couldn’t be more thrilled about because I get to see them more! I am very selfish that way) and are a part of the music scene here. Both are fabulously talented and I love any chance I get to hear them sing and play together. You can check out Evette’s site here and also check them out singing together. Do it. Do it now. We went up Rock Canyon for Joshua and Evette’s family session and they brought along their new puppy! So adorable and so hard not to take home with me 🙂 If you have pets you love, definitely bring them to your photo session. I love, love, love incorporating pets!!
I love the view at Rock Canyon, anytime I can get above the city and score a great backdrop, I am thrilled!! And I love the way the light looks at this time of day and from this view. So warm and yummy! I absolutely adore this family and love any chance I get to hang out with them!
