This is my girl Dezi and she is fabulous in every way. On the way up to our first photo session together, Dezi played Wannabe by the Spice Girls and we sang the whole song together, word for word! I knew right there that she was the coolest chick ever and we would get along great!
Dezi is my go to person for a photo session any time I have an idea or something new I want to try out. Dezi is crazy talented, so fashionable and absolutely stunning so she is the perfect model. You guys, she makes her own clothes or alters the clothes she has to make them really pop. I love her style so I wanted to do a fashion shoot with her so we drove up Provo Canyon where there was fresh powder. I also love the backside of Mt. Timpanogos, It’s one of my favorite views in Utah and I knew it would be a perfect spot for Dezi.
So the coolest thing happened when we reached our location! There was a search and rescue team up there running drills and they had their helicopter parked in the lot just hanging out. I thought it would look awesome to have a helicopter hanging out in the background so we arranged ourselves accordingly. One of the guys in charge of the helicopter saw us and came over to us and asked if we wanted to get pictures IN the helicopter!! WHAT?!?! To top it all off, they let Dezi wear their official jacket! It was amazing!
I was keeping an eye on the helicopter for any indication that it was going to take off so we could get some shots of that too. I really wanted some images of Dezi and her amazing hair as the helicopter was taking off and I loved how they turned out! It was seriously epic and I loved this shoot soooo much!
I had another idea for a shoot, I wanted to get some shots of Utah Lake while it was frozen and catch it in time for the sunset, so I called up Dezi and we drove down. The lake was gorgeous, the sun peaked out right as it was setting and it was gorgeous! We finished the night off on the other side of the valley by Y mountain. I wanted to try some night shots with a view of the valley and incorporated some twinkle lights for Dez. It was such a fun shoot, the only thing missing at that point was the helicopter 🙂
