I am so excited to write this post because I love these people so much! Dave and Cami are some of my closest friends and when they asked me to take their engagement photos, I was thrilled!
I met Dave about 10 years ago when I started working at P.F. Changs. He was best friends with my now husband, who also worked at P.F. Changs. Dave later started his own food truck, The Mouse Trap; they make the most delicious grilled cheese sandwhiches. These are not your normal grilled cheese sandwiches, they are gourmet grilled chilled sandwiches and they have combinations you wouldn’t normally think of and they taste divine together!! My favorite is the Nicolas Cage, a pulled pork sandwich with green apple slices! My mouth is watering, I am getting side tracked just thinking about it! Where was I? Oh yes, back to Dave and Cami… Dave and Cami met at the Provo Food Truck Round Up, Cami was working on the Green Me Smoothie Truck (yummiest smoothies) and fell in love with Dave’s sandwiches, which quickly turned into falling in love with Dave 😉 I love their love, just being around them feels like a fairy tale.
These two mean the world to me. Uncle Dave and Aunt Cami (as known by my kids) are always there when you need them. I can’t even count the number of times Dave has helped us move (actually, I can. 5 times. We have moved 5 times!) or the hours he has spent helping us renovate our yard. Cami is the sweetest person you will ever meet, she is so genuine and loving and the best baker ever! Her cookies and pies and everything else are to die for! Plus, she sends the best Ryan Gosling gif’s on the days she knows you need some cheering up 😉
For their engagement session we spent the evening in Downtown Provo, a city that’s special to Dave and Cami, and every location we went to played a significant role in their story and how they fell in love. Of course we incorporated the food trucks, which are some of my most favorite shots ever. Dave proposed to Cami on the rooftop that overlooks the Provo Temple, so we spent the majority of our time there. The setting of the sun while we were on the rooftop could not have been more dreamy!
Look closely at some of the formal shots, Dave and Cami are wearing watches that belonged to Cami’s grandparents. How sweet is that?!
I love these two and I am so happy they found each other 🙂
